Hupp is a Maryland native who grew up on 60's and 70's acoustic and classic rock. He has a diverse range of influences from James Taylor and David Wilcox to The Beatles and Rush. At the age of 15, he witnessed Paul Reed Smith hand building electric guitars in his original Annapolis workshop.
A veteran of a 20-year career in the United States Navy, he is still actively involved in serving the veteran community.
He is a member of the ocean rowing team "Foar From Home", currently on a campaign to row across the Atlantic Ocean in December 2021 bringing awareness and resources to the PTSD/Veteran suicide issue that is plaguing our nation's warriors. See the details here (www.foarfromhome.com) or at the Foar From Home link at the bottom of this page.
With 25 years of live performance experience, his shows are highlighted by an unmatched ability to field audience requests spanning five decades of popular music. He appears nightly in dozens of venues in the Amelia Island (Fernandina Beach), Florida area. Catch him solo, in the duo "Hupp & Ray" or with the popular classic rock cover band "The Honey Badgers".
